UCT eResearch Report
The University of Cape Town’s eResearch is an organisation that promotes the use of advanced information technologies to support innovation in research.
The research landscape is rapidly changing, with new technologies enabling new forms of collaboration, data gathering and analysis. UCT eResearch – a distributed organisation made up of a partnership between ICTS (Information and Communication Technology Services), UCT Libraries and the Research Office – is the university’s response to this changing research landscape.
We designed their 2018-19 eResearch Report which details the coordinated effort of research support units and the response of researchers as they integrate eResearch capabilities into technology-enabled research practice. It contains case studies, information and achievements in these fields. The design had to communicate this content in a friendly, easy to digest way. We made generous use of illustrations, with each section demarcated with its own colour.
