Bottom Line Report
This investigative report is the culmination of a year-long investigation by Open Secrets into role of corporations in the erroneous cancellation of pension funds between 2007-2013. “The Bottom Line” focuses on the role played by the big corporations who administer these funds. The report also looks into the role of the regulator in creating an enabling environment for the ‘Cancellations Project’.
We were commissioned to design the report from cover to cover, and tried to make something bold, and edgy. We used oversized modernist fonts, large graphics and high contrast tones to make interesting and accessible what might normally have been a difficult read. The publication was produced on a tight budget, so we chose to print in black and white. By using “tipped in” yellow pages, we were able to create something striking at a minimal cost.
