Profiting from Misery: South Africa’s Complicity in War Crimes in Yemen, reveals the South African arms companies that have cashed in on the sale of weapons to Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), two central parties to the Yemeni conflict.

Developing a style

For this report we followed the bold, edgy design developed for the previous reports in the series (The Bottom Line and The Enablers). We used oversized modernist fonts, large graphics and high contrast tones to make interesting and accessible what might normally have been a difficult read.

Getting clever

The publication was produced on a tight budget, so we chose to print in black and white. By using “tipped in” colour pages, we were able to create something striking at a minimal cost.
